Bitcoin ETFs Approach Historic Trading Volume Record

The growth accelerated during Bitcoin’s major rallies in 2024 and 2025, particularly after Donald Trump’s presidential election victory, when the cryptocurrency reached new record highs and investor demand surged.

BlackRock IBIT Dominates Bitcoin ETF Market

BlackRock’s IBIT remains the largest spot Bitcoin ETF, accounting for 73.7% of total trading volume. The fund also leads assets under management with roughly $49 billion, helping push the entire U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market above $76 billion in managed assets.

Bitcoin ETF Outflows Increase During Market Downturn

Despite the trading volume milestone, investor sentiment has weakened in recent months. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have recorded about $7.6 billion in net outflows since Bitcoin reached its all-time high near $126,000 in October. Year-to-date outflows have reached roughly $3 billion, including a recent 13-day streak totaling $4.3 billion.
