Houthi Drone Strike Hits Saudi Refinery Days After New Defence Pact
Yemen's Houthi forces say they struck Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery with a drone, just two days after Saudi Arabia signed a defence pact with Turkey and Pakistan amid rising Middle East tensions. Saudi officials confirmed a fire broke out but was quickly extinguished, with no injuries reported.

Repeated Target, Ongoing Disruptions
The refinery, which processes 400,000 barrels of oil daily, has been hit before and was already shut down after a late-July attack. The Houthis also struck the Yemeni port city of Mocha the same day.
The new pact means an attack on Saudi Arabia, Turkey, or Pakistan would be treated as an attack on all three. Aramco’s CEO said recent strikes caused only minor disruptions.
